High monthly fee
Though you're getting many very valuable features with this subscription, the $24.95 monthly fee can be hard to justify – especially with free options readily available. It certainly offers more than these other services, but the lure of "free" is quite strong, especially with inflation being what it is.
Lack of a mobile app
Canadians are used to having a mobile app for nearly everything, which makes the absence of an Equifax Complete Premier app quite conspicuous. The company has an app called "Lock & Alert," but it doesn't relate to this credit monitoring service and is only available in the US anyway.
Credit score is only half the picture
Because your credit score is just your credit information run through an algorithm, you could have different scores at Equifax than you do at TransUnion (the other Canadian credit bureau). So even though you’re paying $24.95 a month, you’re not getting the full picture of your credit score.
